Dear GENIE colleagues, I hope that everyone is well. For our next GENIE meeting at IIASA in September, we thought it would be valuable to focus on collaboratively developing papers and policy briefs. To make the most of our time together, it would be helpful to decide in advance which lines of work and specific papers we would like to prioritize. We at IIASA have started brainstorming some ideas and would like to share and discuss them with you on Monday. I've attached a version for you to enter the information for each institution. I'll take this and make it into one unified report for the final report within the system. Please try to have your contributions to be no later than June 3, 2025. Please note the character limits that are listed in the document. Please try to keep your contributions below the character limit. For the Major Challenges section, I anticipate that PIK/former MCC will have more to contribute to that, so please be mindful of your character limit there. Hey all, Regarding the next monthly GENIE meeting, it is our turn to present at Aarhus. We were discussing however that most of what would be most relevant for us to present (e.g. Preliminary results from ongoing data collection on various surveys) would only be ready in June/July. We therefore wanted to ask if one of the other teams might want to switch spots so that they could more fruitfully make use of the slot in three weeks. Any interest? Dear GENIE Community, We are excited to announce that IIASA will host the first-ever Climate Overshoot Conference from September 30 to October 2, 2025, at the IIASA Conference Center in Laxenburg, Austria. Save the date for the next GENIE meeting: 31 August - 2 September

Dear GENIEs, We have now finalized the dates for the next GENIE Consortium Meeting: Sunday 31st August (social event and arrival only) to Tuesday 2nd September, with all of Monday and Tuesday being dedicated to the meeting. IIASA are still finalizing the venue but plan to organize something in or around Vienna, so everyone can plan their travel accordingly. IIASA would like to explore a writing retreat-style meeting and will discuss this further in an upcoming GENIE meeting. With best wishes, Elina, Keywan and Pat

Prototype update: Integrating CDR Knowledge Hub and the GENIE Scenario Explorer

Dear all, In line with our ongoing support for GENIE and development of new interfaces and tools, we would like to integrate the CDR knowledge hub and the GENIE Scenario Explorer (currently hosted at https://data.ece.iiasa.ac.at/genie.) Please take a look at the prototype at https://cdr--genie-data-explorer.scse-apps-stage.ece.iiasa.ac.at<https://cdr--genie-data-explorer.scse-apps-stage.ece.iiasa.ac.at/> (username/password "scse-preview"), where the data explorer is now directly embedded in the knowledge hub. The new interface is more user-friendly and is also a more advanced database infrastructure, allowing better performance and new APIs for new tools. I'd be happy to present this in more detail in our call on Monday and to answer any questions. Please send me any feedback on the new front-end.
