I’ll need to use the $1,000 to offset my own costs for the registration fee, airfare and accommodation (costing more than $1,000) but this is a very competitive, national award. We should be proud, and also perhaps draft a press release to showcase this in the Fall when I collect the award. We’re also still competitive for the ERC Public Engagement Award which comes with a $10,000 prize, so winning both would be incredible, although also deserved, in my view. So, well done to us!
