[vip-all] Talents

Dear all, As a follow-up for the residential meeting at Vejle, before which I only had response from 2 groups, I kindly ask you to - groupwise, if possible - inform me in writing about your planned activities in connection with talent students: "Please also take responsibility for organizing suggestions for host groups for “Talent students” (i.e. students being admitted to the talent program from their second year); such groups may consist of the entire topical group or one or more subgroups." Please include in your (preferably brief) response which (sub-)groups you suggest, 5-10 keywords about the scientific content, and a bit about which competencies you expect the talent students may obtain from your programme (both the 'soft' such as presentation skills, and the 'hard' such as programming in LabVIEW), and a suggestion for the final evaluation, to be done at the end of the 1/2 year (which product?). Dear all, Concerning research groups for our challenge-track (formerly: talent-track) students: As was the case in 2014, I kindly ask you to - groupwise, if possible - inform me in writing about your planned activities in connection with our 2nd batch of challenge-track students (i.e. for their 2nd and 3rd year). The research groups may consist of an entire topical group or one or more subgroups, and – depending on the number of groups – are likely to receive about 2 challenge-track students for two semesters in the period E15-F17 (‘E’ and ‘F’ is danish for ‘autumn’ and ’spring’). Please include in your (preferably brief) response the name of the group you suggest, its main topic, 5-10 keywords about the scientific content, and a bit about which competencies you expect the talent students may obtain from your programme (both the 'soft' such as presentation skills, and the 'hard' such as programming in LabVIEW), and a suggestion for the final evaluation, to be done at the end of the semester (which product, oral presentation, report or something else?). If you are already offering challenge-track activities for our 1st batch of students, please let me know if your group is willing to offer again (if necessary, it may be limited to E16-F17 in case you are already committed for E15-F16). The deadline is Wednesday 24th of June, next week. Mvh. Ulrik ************ Ulrik I. Dear all, Concerning research groups for our challenge-track (formerly: talent-track) students: As was the case in 2014, 2015 and 2016, I kindly ask you to - groupwise, if possible - inform me in writing about your planned activities in connection with now our 4th batch of challenge-track students (i.e. for their 2nd and 3rd year). The research groups may consist of an entire topical group or one or more subgroups, and - depending on the number of groups - are likely to receive about 2 challenge-track students for two semesters in the period E17-F19 ('E' and 'F' is danish for 'autumn' and 'spring'). Dear all, Concerning research groups for our challenge-track (formerly: talent-track) students: As has been the case also in previous years, I kindly ask you to - groupwise, if possible - inform me in writing about your planned activities in connection with now our 5th batch of challenge-track students (i.e. for their 2nd and 3rd year). The research groups may consist of an entire topical group or one or more subgroups, and - depending on the number of groups - are likely to receive about 2 challenge-track students for two semesters in the period E18-F20 ('E' and 'F' is danish for 'autumn' and 'spring'). As has been done in previous years, we assign students to the groups according to student preferences, but with a view towards efficient use of staff for the challenge-track. It is therefore possible that a group offering activities will not get assigned students. If you are already offering 2nd and 3rd year challenge-track activities for an older batch of challenge-students, please let me know if your group is willing to offer again. The deadline is Friday 29th of June, end of next week. As a closing remark, we are presently doing a survey amongst the students (all students, not only those that have chosen ChTr activities) as a means for evaluating the impact etc. of the challenge-track.
