Alan then moved to the University of Notre Dame in Indiana to take up a postdoctoral position working with the TwinSol radioactive beam facility. At Aarhus Alan will be working with Hans Fynbo's group on the development and application of experimental techniques for the complete kinematical reconstruction of astrophysically important nuclear reactions. Poul Hornshøj var ansat ved Instituttet fra 1962 til sin pensionering i 2000. Poul havde sit virke inden for kernefysik, og han var fra starten med i ISOLDE-gruppen ved CERN. Senere var han involveret i kernefysiske målinger ved Instituttets egne acceleratorer og kendt som en meget grundig underviser. Begravelsen finder sted onsdag den 6. november kl. 13 ved Egå kirke. Poul Hornshøj was employed at the Department from 1962 until his retirement in 2000. Poul worked within the field of nuclear physics, and he was a part of the ISOLDE group at CERN from the start. Later he was involved in nuclear physical measurements with the Department’s own accelerators and known as a very thorough teacher. The funeral will take place Wednesday 6th November at 1 PM in Egå kirke.
