Is working with satellites one of your dreams? This spring, students from Aarhus University will be offered the opportunity to assemble the first Cubesat in a series of science related satellites. The AUSAT-1 nanosatellite will be launched from the International Space Station ISS in the beginning of 2018. If you are interested, we would like to invite you to our information meeting on Thursday, 9 March, from 11.15-12.00 in Fysisk Auditorium - room number 1523-318. The project in short: In the startup phase, we will give 15 students the opportunity to work on this project; five students will assemble and test the hardware and ten will be involved in the communications facilities. All these efforts will be part of a workshop where you can earn 5 ECTS points. Later in 2017, we will invite a larger group of students to apply for participation in the satellite operations. You will be involved in the development of science and engineering projects based on the AUSAT-1 payload. The deadline to submit your application is Monday 3 April. Applications will be accepted from Friday 10 March. Shortly thereafter, you will know if your new career in space has started. You can apply if you are enrolled at Aarhus University in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, the Department of Engineering or in the Department of Geoscience, and if you are a 3rd year Bachelor's student or upwards.
