There is now the possibility of applying for a ’Villum Experiment’: https://veluxfoundations.dk/en/villum-experiment-call As two examples, you can apply for (a 2-year project with a total below 2.0 mio. including 15% indirect costs): 1 year postdoc (“PhD students are not eligible for support under the programme”) 3 months existing TAP (salary, must be relevant for the project) 450 kDKK Instruments 300 kDKK travel 200 kDKK consumables (the last 3 items can be distributed as desired as long as the sum is < 950 kDKK) or 2 years postdoc (“PhD students are not eligible for support under the programme”) 6 months existing TAP (salary, must be relevant for the project) 0 kDKK Instruments 100 kDKK travel 100 kDKK consumables (the last 3 items can be distributed as desired as long as the sum is < 200 kDKK) … and also variations of the above, as long as it is taken into account that the longer the postdoc position, the more salary of the existing TAP must be covered. For this solution, salary for an existing TAP can be converted into e.g. an investment in instrumentation like nodes for CSCAA or another common infrastructure (calculated as 50 kDKK/month). It is an eligible cost to cover your own salary as long as you are not in a permanent position (“salary of permanently employed scientific staff is not covered”). As the deadline is 15 March 2023 at 14:00, Ulrik must receive your budget and title for the application at the latest by 09 March at 9:00 to be able to check and approve the budget and write the Letter of support from the host institution.
