Kære IFA medarbejder (in English below).

Dear IFA staff member.
• AU terminates institutional collaborations and therefore terminates agreements with Russian and Belarusian universities in the field of education, research and innovation. Students /
PhD students / employees who are currently at AU via an agreement, must stay and complete their stay. All students / staff from Russian / Belarusian universities who plan a stay at AU via an appointment cannot come to AU.
• It is still possible for Russian and Belarusian citizens to apply for jobs at Danish universities or apply for a study place and a PhD course at AU. The sanctions, as it stands now, are
aimed at Russian / Belarusian institutions, not individuals. We must not discriminate on the basis of citizenship - neither positively nor negatively.
• At AU, we have a number of employees, PhD students and students with Russian, Belarusian and Ukrainian citizenship. The university management has emphasized that everyone must be treated
with respect and propriety.
Research and innovation collaborations
We are aware that AU is involved in a number of EU projects with Russian partners. We are awaiting a decision from the Commission on how to deal with this. The preliminary feedback is that
we can expect tough sanctions.
AU staff do not attend meetings / conferences at Russian / Belarusian universities. Similarly, no events are held at AU with the participation of representatives from Russian / Belarusian
institutions. What matters is the institutional affiliation. An event can thus be held with the participation of a researcher with Russian citizenship from e.g. a German university.
Best regards, Ulrik
