Adgang til IFA mellem jul og nytår og aflukkede toiletter

Alle yderdøre låses mellem jul og nytår, så husk at medbringe nøglekort, hvis I kommer på instituttet.

Vi forventer ikke at mange arbejder i juledagene, så det ene toilet aflåses på hver etage.

ST-sommerfest 2016

ST-sommerfesten næste år holdes fredag den 27. maj 2016.

Besøgsplatform ved ASTRID2

Ved ASTRID2 er der monteret en besøgsplatform, der tillader et meget fint udsyn over en stor del af ASTRID2. Den er monteret på nordøstsiden af afskærmningen. Kortvarigt ophold på platformen er godkendt af Statens Institut for Strålebeskyttelse. Der er dog et par forhold der skal være opfyldt:

1. Platformen er kun beregnet til korte ophold med det formål at se dele af ASTRID2

2. De besøgende skal gøres opmærksom på at strålingsniveauet ved ophold på platformen er forhøjet i forhold til ophold på gulvet. Forhøjelsen svarer nogenlunde til den man får ved at opholde sig i et fly i 10km højde – altså ikke foruroligende på nogen måde

3. Man må IKKE læne sig ind over muren, idet strålingsniveauet stiger en del når man kommer ind over murens forkant

4. Platformen er dimensioneret til samtidigt ophold af 12 personer.

5. I tilfælde af kørsel med maskinen der ikke er rutinemæssig, vil adgang til platformen være blokeret med en kæde el. lign. I så fald er ophold på platformen ikke tilladt.

I er velkomne til at benytte platformen når ovenstående forhold er opfyldt.

Access to IFA between Christmas and New Year / toilets will be locked

All outer doors will be locked between Christmas and New Year - so remember to bring your access card, if you plan on coming to the Department.

We expect the majority of employees to be on holidays during Christmas, so one toilet on each floor will be locked.

ST summer celebration 2016

The ST summer celebration next year will take place on Friday 27 May 2016.

Visiting platform by ASTRID2

By ASTRID2 we have now had a visiting platform fitted. This allows a great view of the large part of ASTRID2. It is mounted on the north-eastern section of the enclosure. Temporary stay on the platform is approved by Statens Institut for Strålebeskyttelse (The National Institute of Radiation Protection ). However, there are a few conditions which must be fulfilled:

1. The platform is limited to short stays with the purpose of viewing parts of ASTRID2

2. Visitors must be made aware that the level of radiation on the platform is elevated, compared to on the floor. The increase approximately corresponds to the level of radiation you would be subjected to by being in an airplane at 10 km altitude – thus it is in no way alarming

3. Do not lean over the wall, as the radiation level will rise substantially when crossing the front edge of the wall

4. The platform is designed to withstand 12 people at one time

5. In case the machine is used at a non-scheduled time, access to the platform will be blocked by e.g. a chain. In such a case any stay on the platform is prohibited.

You are welcome to use the platform when the above conditions are complied with.
