http://medarbejdere.au.dk/administration/oekonomi/rejsebestilling-og-udgiftsafregning/

IFA News, week 36

Information meeting

An information meeting will be held on Wednesday 23 September at 13:00 in the Physics Auditorium. The Head of Department will inform about ‘the state of the empire’.

Physical Workplace Assessment (the physical WPA)
Dear AU employee

Once again, it’s time for the Physical Workplace Assessment (the Physical WPA). All employees are encouraged to complete the electronic questionnaire that will be sent by email in mid-September 2015.

AU performs  workplace assessments to make sure that we examine all important aspects of the university’s work environment. A WPA is an assessment of the work environment at a company or institution in which the work environment is described and assessed, and action plans are developed and prioritised. These action plans will be made available to all employees, and progress in relation to action plans will be evaluated.

The most recent WPA at Aarhus University was performed in 2012. WPAs must be performed every third year, and the senior management team and the Main Occupational Health and Safety Committee have decided to schedule the physical WPA in autumn 2015, while the psychological WPA is to be carried out in the first quarter of 2016.

The questionnaires used in assessing the work environment at AU are not anonymous.

The questionnaire will be sent from AU Fysisk APV with the subject heading:
” Fysisk Arbejdspladsvurdering. Vigtigt. – Physical Workplace Assessment.
Important.”

Visit by the rector on 8 October 2015

Brian Bech Nielsen will make his annual visits to the university’s various units, where he will meet employees to discuss the development of the university and to exchange visions and problems. There will be time for comments and asking the rector questions.

The visit to IFA will take place on 8 October at 11:30-13:00 in the Physics Auditorium. All employees are invited.

Revised AU Travel Policy

AU has decided to change its travel policy and allow employees to book their flight directly with the airlines. It is still possible to use AU's travel agency Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT).

As always it is important to observe all rules and guidelines with regard to choosing the cheapest possible travel solution.

It is a group leader's responsibility to always be informed of his/her group members' travel activities. This alone with regard to force majeure situations (acts of terror, earthquakes etc.) where relevant authorities must be informed.

It is also possible to register on the Danes Abroad List (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark)

IT systems out of operation on 5-6 September 2015

From Saturday 5 September at 6 pm till Sunday 6 September at 2 pm, AU IT will maintain and optimise a variety of the university’s IT systems and IT services and it is necessary to put them out of operation shortly.  As a rule you cannot carry out work where you need the university’s IT in this time span.

You are able to work with files locally on your computer and use the AV equipment at AU the entire weekend.

Find an overview of the affected IT systems and IT services on http://driftstatus.au.dk/en

See the announcement on staff.au.dk

The weekend in question has been chosen on the basis of a consultation among the academic and administrative environments so that it impacts as few people as possible. AU IT apologises for the inconvenience it may cause.
