Dear all,

Science & Technology has initiated a new programme, Marie Skłodowska Curie Master Class, with the intention to increase the success rate for applications for Marie Curie - Individual Fellowships (post-doctoral fellowship). The program comprises of a 3-day workshop in May 2016, organized by the research Support Office at AU. During the workshop the applicants will start writing the application, get introduced to Aarhus University and have time to develop the research project in collaboration with the future supervisor.

The program is supported by funds from Aarhus University Research Foundation, and it has been suggested that around 20 external candidates will be invited (some applicants may already reside in Aarhus). 

All group leaders are strongly encouraged to search their networks for possible applicants. An informal application consisting of the candidate’s CV, a justification for the application, a brief project description and contact information of the fellow in question should be e-mailed to me (philip@phys.au.dk) no later than 14 March 2016.  Bjørk Hammer and I will  then pre-evaluate the applications and submit the qualified to the steering group at S&T.

About the applicant: 

• Can move from any country in the world
• Shall be in possession of a Doctoral degree at the deadline for the submission (September 14, 2016)
• Must not have resided in Denmark for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline of submission (September 14, 2016)
• Must have a decent CV; at least one first-authorship in a good peer-reviewed journal

Timeline:

• February 2, 2016: information meeting for future supervisors, 2.30-4 p.m. in Preben Hornungstuen, (Fredrik Nielsens Vej 2, Bygning 1422). The meeting will be held in English.
• March 14, 2016: deadline for submission of applications to me.
• March 25, 2016: We will submit the chosen applicants to the steering group at Science & Technology 
• May 10-12, 2016: Marie Skłodowska Curie Master Class
• September 14, 2016: deadline for submission of Marie Curie - Individual Fellowships
