Sumanta Khan bliver en del af Center for Complex Quantum Systems i februar 2023.

On 15 February 2023, Sumanta Khan joined the Ion Trap Group within CCQ as new postdoc.

Sumanta was previously appointed a postdoc position at the University of California, Berkeley, where he worked on a variety of trapped ion research topics, including quantum simulation experiments, studies of energy-transfer dynamics, experimental test of causal non-linear extension of quantum mechanics, studying electric field noise due to surface contamination in an Al-surface ion trap, and studying and characterizing a 3D-printed novel ion trap apparatus.

Within CCQ, he is excited to continue research based on cold trapped ions with focused on cavity-mediated ion-photon interactions, ultracold ion-atom interactions, and single molecular ion spectroscopy.

The inaugural symposium of the "Aarhus University Structural Biology and Biophysics Initiative" (AUSBI) took place February 10th with inspirational presentations by research group leaders at AU and 38 poster presentations by students and postdocs and more than 100 participants from 8 departments at Aarhus University.

AUSBI is an interactive network of structural biologists/biophysicists across disciplines and departments/faculties at Aarhus University.
The network aims at bringing together scientists that investigate biomolecular structure and dynamics using biophysical methods and fostering exchanges and collaborations.

All staff and students from Aarhus University are very welcome to join the network, if interested.

Førstehjælp redder liv og enhver kan medvirke til at gøre en forskel!

Kursus i akut livreddende førstehjælp (6,5 timer)
Kurset giver deltagerne kendskab til og mulighed for at yde førstehjælp, hvis uheldet er ude, eller hvis der optræder pludselig sygdom. Gennem praktiske øvelser lærer du blandt andet at give kunstigt åndedræt og hjertemassage.

Har du allerede taget et førstehjælpskursus, kan du i stedet tilmelde dig et repetitionskursus. Du skal være i besiddelse af gyldigt førstehjælpsbevis (max. 24 måneder gammelt) for at kunne deltage. Beviset medbringes på kurset.
