Ny postdoc: Oliver Kirsebom
Oliver Kirsebom will be joining the nuclear physics group at IFA as a postdoctoral researcher on October 1st, where he will be working with Hans Fynbo on long beamtime experiments
for nuclear astrophysics. Oliver, already a close acquaintance of IFA, obtained his PhD from Aarhus University in 2010, whereupon he took up a two-year postdoctoral position at TRIUMF, Canada's National Laboratory for Particle and Nuclear Physics, on a grant
from the VKR foundation. After three years at TRIUMF, he is now returning to IFA to continue his research on light nuclei with applications for nuclear astrophysics, initially focusing on the alpha-conjugate nuclei 8Be, 12C and 16O.
Afskedsreception for Jørgen Bøttiger
Invitation to AU knowledge exchange day 14. November
How do you best exchange your knowledge with collaborators outside Aarhus University (AU)?
We would like to invite you and your colleagues from your department to attend the
Knowledge Exchange Day 2013, where you will get the opportunity to exchange and develop ideas on how to exchange knowledge in practice.
Read more and sign up at the conference website (conferences.au.dk/knowledgeexchange).
indenfor 8 min.
Med venlig hilsen Michael Høyer Bæk, AU IT.

AV Support
AU IT has taken over the responsibility of AV-support and procurement at Aarhus University. We have examined all teaching rooms on your faculty and mended a few errors. We have
kept the arrangement with AVC regarding the lecture theatres, as they generally contain very advanced equipment, which AVC has quite a lot of experience maintaining. However, the day-to-day support of the lecture theaters will from now on be conducted by AU
IT. Thus, you will find that a new contact telephone number will be placed in your larger lecture theatres (100+ people). We have people in the area, so we are never far away. Our people in the area will continue to check all teaching rooms, seminar rooms
and lecture theatres in order to minimize breakdowns and make daily use optimal. We have equipped the local AV-responsible with and equipment package in order to always be prepared for any defects. Furthermore, they are equipped with a projector to be used
in urgent situations.
All your teaching rooms and lecture theatres will contain information about the telephone number for the closest AV-supporter. Our aim is to solve AV-related problems within
8 minutes.
Kind regards Michael Høyer Bæk, AU IT.
