 Title:

Neutrinoless double beta decay searches with 76Ge

 Abstract:

The search for neutrinoless double beta decay might be the only window to observe lepton number violation and to establish the nature of neutrinos. Historically, the isotope 76Ge has played an important role in this search  and currently the ongoing GERDA  experiment has the lowest background if normalized to the region of interest. The physics motivation for neutrinoless double beta decay and the status of the field with emphasis on 76Ge experiments will be presented.

Coffee and cake will be served at 15:05
