Unfortunately the deadline is (very) short, but I want to let you know about the BII Proof of Concept call, that may be relevant for some of you. Deadline is January 24.

I am writing to invite you to a BioInnovation Institute event held at COBIS which will focus our programs and funding opportunities.
BioInnovation Institute (BII) is a Novo Nordisk Foundation initiative in Copenhagen that works to commercialize
research and help build start-ups in medtech, pharma and biotech. Right now, we have two open calls and we expect to open one more in a month’s time. We have already had great support from all Danish universities which has led to a high number of qualified
applicants in the previous round of calls. I am reaching out to you to raise awareness about our three programs that could have interest for researchers or scientists in your network.
This week, on Wednesday January 16, we are hosting an Open Call event at BII to show our state of the art labs and office facilities of 2,300 square meters and present the opportunities in the three
different programs.

Proof of Concept. For projects that are looking to establish the preliminary proof on concept
of their research. Funding of up to DKK 1M. Deadline January 24.
Business Acceleration Academy. For companies that have established the preliminary
proof of concept and are ready to explore the commercial potential and develop a solid, initial business plan. You will get support in form of acceleration framework, experts, in-kind services and funding. Deadline TBA.
Creation House. For companies that have a solid, initial business and are ready to execute on
it and to de-risk the company to attract substantial funding. Funding of up to DKK 10M. Deadline February 14.

If you cannot attend the event, we will arrange a trip to Aarhus in the beginning February and we would like to meet you there. We will get back to you with details about that.
