From October 1st, we have employed Maria Juhler Maibom as head of the department secretariat at Department of Physics and Astronomy.
Maria graduated in political science and most recently comes from a position at the Rector's office at Aarhus University, where she has worked for the past four years. In addition to being Personal Assistant for the vice-rector, she has worked on strategic initiatives from the senior management team and has played a key role in the implementation of organisational and educational policy initiatives at the university. In addition to experience from the Rector's office, Maria has previously been senior consultant in the consultancy company Rambøll, where she was project manager and had a leading role in the construction of a new department with focus on education and research, with special responsibilities in relation to the Ministry of Higher Education and Science. Maria was born and grew up in Odense and now lives in Højbjerg with her family. She is married and has two boys – and enjoys being out in nature with her family. In the IFA leadership, we are delighted that we have succeeded in employing such a competent person as Maria, who we are convinced will be of great benefit to all of us at the department, including as head of the secretariat. Vi har pr. 1. oktober ansat Maria Juhler Maibom som institutsekretariatsleder ved Institut for Fysik og Astronomi. Maria er uddannet i statskundskab og kommer senest fra en stilling i Universitetsledelsens Stab på Aarhus Universitet, hvor hun har arbejdet de sidste 4 år. Her har hun udover at være personlig assistent for prorektor bl.a. arbejdet med strategiske tiltag fra universitetsledelsen samt haft en central rolle i implementeringen af organisatoriske og uddannelsespolitiske tiltag på universitetet. Ud over erfaring fra Universitetsledelsen Stab har Maria forinden været chefkonsulent i konsulentvirksomheden Rambøll, hvor hun var projektleder og havde en bærende rolle i opbygningen af en ny afdeling med fokus på uddannelse og forskning med opgaver særligt for Uddannelses- og Forskningsministeriet. Maria er født og opvokset i Odense og bor nu i Højbjerg med sin familie. Hun er gift og har to drenge – og nyder at være i naturen med familien. Vi glæder os i IFAs ledelse over, at det er lykkedes os at ansætte en så kompetent person som Maria, som vi er overbeviste om vil være til stor gavn for alle på instituttet, herunder som leder af sekretariatet.
