Invitation: Natural Sciences’ theory-experiment matchmaking event feat. mathematics/statistics 26 September 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Are you an experimentalist who:
·
has an exciting dataset that requires new approaches to modelling
and analysis?
·
wants to collaborate with a data scientist or statistician?
·
seeks to work on a scientific challenge that could push the boundaries of machine learning?
Or are you a theoretician who:
·
would like a more in-depth understanding of a scientific model?
·
aims to obtain scientific insights through simulations or mathematical derivations?
Then sign up for Natural Sciences’ theory-experiment matchmaking event feat. mathematics/statistics on
26 September 11 a.m.-1p.m. The event is hosted by Poul Nissen (Nat's vice dean for research) and Andreas Basse-O'Connor (Math's vice head of department). The event will feature:
·
An introduction to research fields and competencies at Department of Mathematics
·
Short presentations of experimental scientific cases/questions that may challenge or develop
theoretical approaches
·
Plenty of time for mingling and finding new collaboration partners over coffee and sandwiches
Please sign up via mail to Nat’s Research Advisor Astrid Klingen ark@au.dk no later than 13 September stating:
·
Your name, type of position and department affiliation (ph.d.-students welcome!)
·
Whether you’d like to present an experimental scientific
case/question that may challenge or develop theoretical approaches (max
2 slides)
·
Whether you have any dietary restrictions (sandwiches will be served)
