IFAs kommunikationsmedarbejder: Ole Knudsen

I dag starter Ole Knudsen som kommunikationsmedarbejder for IFA med en ugentlig arbejdstid på 11,2 time.

Vi byder Ole velkommen og ser frem til et godt samarbejde, og opfordrer vore medarbejdere til at benytte Ole til kommunikationsopgaver. Ole har kontor i 1520-532 og har telefon: 4059 4520

Forlænget åbningstid i Fysisk Kantine i uge 42

Der skal nye lofter i Matematisk Kantine i uge 42, hvorfor lokalet er lukket. Fysisk Kantine holder i stedet åbent fra kl. 08.00 til kl. 15.30 i hele uge 42.

 

 

Instituttets biler

Mondeoen, som primært har været brugt af Fysikshow, bliver skrottet på grund af alder.

Den gamle Passat (YN 52187) kan fremover bruges til Fysikshows aktiviteter (og alle vi andre, såfremt den ikke bliver brugt).

Den ny Passat (AJ 34465) kan bookes af IFA-medarbejdere, og lånes ikke mere ud til personer udenfor instituttet.

 

 

Udsorteret udstyr fra skolefysik

I lokalet 1521-318 (lige bagved IT-helpdesk) ligger der en større bunke udsorteret udstyr fra skolefysikflytningen, som kan være til nytte for andre. Bl.a. forefindes en større mængde funktionsgeneratorer og diverse strømforsyninger. I er velkommen at tage hvad I kan bruge heraf til jeres laboratorier.

 

 

Portnere / STBYG

Pr. 1. oktober overgik STBYG 1 til STBYG2 og fungerer derved som en samlet enhed. Fra samme dato benyttes en anden servicemail, hvis I har brug for hjælp fra portnerne eller håndværkerne; stbyg2service.okoplan@au.dk.

Valg 2015 er skudt i gang!

Valget 2015 er nu skudt i gang med offentliggørelse af valgcirkulære og tidsplan, som du finder på www.au.dk/valg.

Alle vælgere får tilsendt en mail med oplysninger om valget, herunder om opstilling af kandidater.

 

 

Styrk karrieren som mentor eller mentee

Mentorordningen Styrk Talentet! matcher medarbejdere på adjunktniveau med mere erfarne kolleger (lektorniveau eller derover). Formålet er at bidrage til at understøtte og udvikle de videnskabelige medarbejderes faglige og personlige karrierepotentiale.

Næste deadline for tilmelding – for både mentorer og mentees - er den 23. oktober 2015.

Besøg af rektor den 8. oktober

Brian Bech Nielsen kommer på den årlige besøgsrunde, hvor han møder medarbejdere for at drøfte universitetets udvikling og udveksle visioner og problemer. På møderne er der sat god tid af til medarbejdernes kommentarer og spørgsmål.

 

Mødet finder sted på IFA den 8. oktober kl. 11.30-13.00 i Fysisk Auditorium og alle medarbejdere er indbudt.

 

 

ERC Starting Grant / ERC Consolidator Grant

We know the competition is very hard and we would like to offer assistance that may hopefully contribute to strengthening the application. Vice Dean for research and professor at the Department of Computer Science Mogens Nielsen would like to offer to read your application and provide feedback with third-part-eyes. Mogens Nielsen is a former board member of the Danish research council as well as currently chair of an ERC Consolidator Panel and has considerable research application evaluation experience.

 

Please remember that all EU applications must  pass by the Research Support Office. They may assist you with your application in terms of formalities.

IFA’s communication employee: Ole Knudsen

As of today, Ole Knudsen begins as communication employee at IFA with weekly working hours of 11.2 hours.

We welcome Ole and look forward to working with him. We encourage all our employees to make use of Ole in connection with communication tasks. You will find him in office 1520-532 and he can be reached by phone at 4059 4520.

 

 

New scientific coordinator: Lotte Holmegaard

The department has employed Lotte Holmegaard as scientific coordinator from 12 October 2015.

Extended opening hours in the Physics Canteen in week 42

The ceiling in the Math Canteen will be replaced in week 42, and the canteen will therefore be closed. Instead, the Physics Canteen will be open 8:00-15:30 in week 42.

 

 

Department cars

The Mondeo, which has primarily been used by the Physics Show, will be scrapped due to age.

The old Passat (YN 52187) can, in future, be used for Physics Show activities (and employees, if not used by the Physics Show).

The new Passat (AJ 34465) can be booked by IFA employees only, and is no longer lent to persons not with the Department of Physics.

 

 

Decommissioned equipment from the school-physics lab

In the room 1521-318 (just behind IT-helpdesk) there is a bunch of decommissioned equipment from the school-physics lab. Feel free to take what you can use for your lab. There are several old function generators and power supplies, most of them still working perfectly.

 

 

Janitors / STBYG

As of 1 October STBYG 1 merged with STBYG2, which functions as one unit. Starting 1 October, you should use a difference service mail if you need assistance from the janitors or the skilled workmen; stbyg2service.okoplan@au.dk.

Ove Fjordside is the new  service inspector and may be contacted by mail or phone: of@au.dk / 28 99 20 13.

 

 

The 2015 elections have begun!

The 2015 elections have officially begun, and the election circular and schedule have been posted at http://medarbejdere.au.dk/en/strategy/election/.

All eligible voters will receive a mail with information about the election, including guidelines for nominating candidates.

 

 

Empower your career as a mentor or a mentee

The mentor scheme Empower Talent! matches staff at assistant professor level (assistant professor / researcher / postdoc) with more experienced colleagues at associate professor level or above. The purpose of the scheme is to contribute to supporting and developing the professional and personal career potential of the academic staff. Next deadline for registration - for both mentors and mentees - will be October 23, 2015.

Visit by the rector on 8 October 2015

Brian Bech Nielsen will make his annual visits to the university’s various units, where he will meet employees to discuss the development of the university and to exchange visions and problems. There will be time for comments and asking the rector questions.

 

The visit to IFA will take place on 8 October at 11:30-13:00 in the Physics Auditorium. All employees are invited.
