Dear all, As a follow-up for the residential meeting at Vejle, before which I only had response from 2 groups, I kindly ask you to - groupwise, if possible - inform me in writing about your planned activities in connection with talent students: "Please also take responsibility for organizing suggestions for host groups for “Talent students” (i.e. students being admitted to the talent program from their second year); such groups may consist of the entire topical group or one or more subgroups." Please include in your (preferably brief) response which (sub-)groups you suggest, 5-10 keywords about the scientific content, and a bit about which competencies you expect the talent students may obtain from your programme (both the 'soft' such as presentation skills, and the 'hard' such as programming in LabVIEW), and a suggestion for the final evaluation, to be done at the end of the 1/2 year (which product?). Kære alle Her er lidt info vedr. udskiftning af kontor-PC’er (pga. IT-sikkerhed): 1) Søg efter dit navn på vedhæftede liste (dit navn kan godt stå flere steder) 2) Er din PC "gul" eller "rød", skal du henvende dig i IT Helpdesk, som vil hjælpe dig 3) "Gul" PC skal geninstalleres og evt. have en SSD-harddisk 4) "Rød" PC skal udskiftes helt. Laptop og dockingstation anbefales, så man undgår at skulle have både stationær-PC og laptop 5) Gamle PC'er skal afleveres i IT Helpdesk, og de vil hjælpe dig med at afmelde dem 6) Hvis du ikke selv kan dække udgiften for egen bevilling, så søg tilskud fra IFA (Katrine: katvas(a)phys.au.dk<mailto:katvas@phys.au.dk>) Mere info tilgår vedr. Joint Theory Seminar - Oriol Vendrell: Multiconfigurational time-dependent approaches to solve the quantum dynamics of molecules and beyond Dato fre 16 jun Tid 15:00 - 16:00 Sted 1520-732 In this theoretical seminar I will introduce the problem of solving the quantum dynamics of nuclei and electrons in a molecular system. This will lead to the introduction of time-dependent multi-configurational tools that can do this task efficiently and will signal where are the bottlenecks and main difficulties. I will finalize discussing generalizations of those methods and possible applications beyond the field of quantum molecular dynamics. Værkstedskursus Der afholdes tegne- og værkstedskursus i uge 33 og uge 34, 2017. Kurset varer en uge, i alt 37 timer. Der er denne gang plads til 4 deltagere på hvert hold. Kurset vil kun blive afholdt med min. 3 deltagere. Ved bekræftelse på tilmelding bedes du henvende dig til Torben Hyltoft på værkstedet 2. sal for at få udleveret kursus materiale. Kære alle Håber I kan komme til medarbejderfredagsbaren på fredag. Der vil være nedenstående event: Sommerkonkurrence For at skabe lidt hyggelig sommerstemning og demonstrere det gode engagement her på IFA vil vi gerne have jer til at navngive vores mødelokaler. Der findes allerede lokaler i huset ved navn som f.eks. "Det Indre Rum" og "Det Ydre Rum", og navnet "Sky Lounge" har tidligere været brugt uofficielt for fredagsbarens tidligere lokale på 7. etage. Det er både sjovere og nemmere at huske, når et mødelokale har et godt navn end bare et nummer. Derfor vil vi - Lars, Ulrik og Katrine - gerne modtage jeres forslag til navne. Kære medarbejdere, Som I sikkert har bemærket, er ST inde i en hastig og spændende udvikling for tiden. Vi er fuld i gang med at implementere fakultetets ambitiøse strategi, der blev vedtaget i 2016. Netop tankerne bag strategien, samt hvordan vi arbejder med de nuværende og kommende strategiske satsninger vil jeg gerne fortælle jer mere om. Samtidig vil jeg afsætte god tid til spørgsmål, kommentarer og drøftelse af emner som I finder relevante. ******************************************************* Dear colleagues, As you have probably noticed, Science and Technology is undergoing a rapid and exciting development these days. We are well under way with the implementation of the ST Strategic Plan 2016-2020 and I would like to share with you the thoughts behind the strategic plan as well as how we work with the current and upcoming strategic investments. I will leave plenty of time for questions, comments, and discussions of issues you may find relevant.
