QCA: QUBITS Seminar by Prof. Jørgen Ellegaard Andersen (SDU) on "Gaussian Weighted Integrals, Gaussian Boson Sampling, CV and DV Topological Quantum Computing and Industrial Applications"
Dear all, At very short notice, we have the opportunity to host a QUBITS Seminar with Professor Jørgen Ellegaard Andersen (University of Southern Denmark, Centre for Quantum Mathematics). He will give a talk entitled: ”Gaussian Weighted Integrals, Gaussian Boson Sampling, CV and DV Topological Quantum Computing and Industrial Applications” Date: September 15, 2025 Time: 14:15–16:00 Location: iNANO Aud (1593-012) Format: 45-minute talk followed by refreshments All are welcome! Drinks and snacks will be served after the talk. Please accept this calendar invitation if you plan to attend—it helps us estimate catering needs. About the speaker: Read more about the speaker here via this link<https://projects.au.dk/quantum/news-and-events/item/artikel/gaussian-weighted-integrals-gaussian-boson-sampling-cv-and-dv-topological-quantum-computing-and-industrial-applications-by-professor-joergen-ellegaard-andersen>. ABSTRACT The talk will cover a broad range of the quantum algorithm and quantum software work they do at the Centre for Quantum Mathematics at SDU. In particular, their recent work on applications of Gaussian Boson Sampling to computation of Gaussian weighted integrals, where they can mathematically establish exponential speed up over Monte Carlo sampling under certain conditions and speed up over Monte Carlo sampling in general. Their novel ideas of implementing both the Andersen–Kashaev TQFT and further the Witten–Reshetikhin–Turaev TQFT as novel forms of Topological Quantum Computing on various kinds of quantum hardware will be reviewed, and their collaborations with quantum hardware teams both from academia and from quantum start-ups will be covered. Finally, collaborations with major Danish and international industry partners via their collaboration with Qpurpose will be discussed. → Please forward this invitation to interested colleagues who may not already have signed up for information from QCA.
