Hi Lab users,
After the meeting on Tuesday, and the "what do we wear in the lab" section, we have been made aware that in the work with some chemicals it can make sense to use long sleeves to protect yourself.
These chemicals are marked as follows:
-
H310 Fatal in contact with skin
-
H311 Toxic in contact with skin
-
H312 Dangerous in contact with skin
If you need to wear long sleeves, please use the disposable sleeves, that can be found in the storage room.
Remember the first aid in case of skin contact:
-
Remove any contaminated clothes.
-
Rinse under running water and/or wash thoroughly with soap and water.
-
Contact your doctor in case of discomfort.
(These guidelines have been taken directly from the 2-Mercaptoethanol WPI)
It is your own responsibility to check up on the chemicals you are using and to asses the risk in your work, but if you need any help, please don't hesitate to ask 😊
Best,
Johanne
