This event marks two significant milestones: the 70th anniversary of the very first meeting of the International Epidemiological Association in 1956 and the first European Congress of Epidemiology since before the pandemic. The IEA will be involved in organizing the congress, and we hope to be able to bring together a broad group of epidemiologists in different career stages from across the European Region. Further details on abstract submission (deadline in February 2026) and registration modalities, including bursary opportunities, will be shared in the coming months. In the meantime, we encourage you to begin planning to join us in London next year. I would also like to ask you to reach out to me directly in case you would like to share any thoughts on the involvement of IEA-Europe in the Congress.
