Thank you, Megan! I also want to emphasize for all organic chemists who do not have experience in biochemistry - look at the transformation and think about the enzyme as a reagent. What is the starting material, what is the (scope of) product(s) - and how would you make it using traditional organic chemistry? That is the main focus typically for these 10 min presentations. Megan will in addition give some biochemistry context this week because of her experience with enzyme work.
