Dear all, I would like to invite you to a presentation Zach Thomas and I will be giving on our join paper project on measures of technology growth during the November slot - so 24th at 4:30 - 5:30 pm CET. You find a zoom link below. We have analyzed how different models of technology growth work on the extensive HATCH dataset of historical technologies. We will present our main results on model fit and hindcasting performance and discuss implications for using these models for informing future technology scale-up. It would be great to see many of you there and get your feedback on the paper. As we would like to wrap this paper up soon, we did not want to wait until January to present this. Hi all, I’d like to propose canceling the next two monthly meetings – November 24 is the start of Thanksgiving Holiday in the United States for many of us (the holiday is on Thursday, but I myself will be on leave with my parents and brother in Colorado) and the end of December is of course winter break.
I propose shifting to resume the meetings in January, where we could start the agenda again and have PIK/MCC give a possible presentation. Does this idea work for everyone?
