Open interdisciplinary funding calls
We would like to draw your attention to two open funding calls with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research:
Villum Synergy Programme
Who: The project must involve two PIs, one of which should be from a domain field such as natural science, technical science, social science, or humanities. The other PI should be from the field of computer science, statistics or applied mathematics. Both PIs should be tenured scientific staff at a Danish university.
Deadline for application: February 19, 2026
Amount: 4.5 million DKK for 3 years or up to 14 million DKK for 5 years.

CF Interdisciplinary Research Center
Who: A team of two or three PIs may apply. The PI team must consist of associate professors, senior researchers, or professors. At least two of the three main research domains supported by the Carlsberg Foundation: humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, should be represented in the PI team.
Deadline for application: March 1, 2026
Amount: up to 50 million DKK for 6 years.
